Refunds & Returns Policy

This policy applies to purchases made directly through coldenergy.tech. It is split into two sections depending on how you purchased CET, because your legal rights differ between the two.

1. Home-Use Customers (Consumer Purchases)

If you purchased CET as a private individual for personal use, you are protected under EU consumer distance-selling law.

Right of Withdrawal You have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving your CET unit, without giving any reason.

To exercise this right, contact us at contact@coldenergy.tech within the 14-day period, clearly stating your intention to withdraw. You may use the model withdrawal form below, or simply email us directly.

Once you've notified us, you have a further 14 days to return the item to us.

Condition of returned goods

  • All components must be returned: base unit, connecting cable, wearable sleeve, and copper bracelet
  • The unit should be returned unused beyond what's reasonably necessary to inspect it, in its original packaging where possible, and in undamaged working condition
  • We reserve the right to reduce the refund if the value of the goods has diminished as a result of handling beyond what's necessary to establish the nature and function of the product

Return shipping Returned items will have the shipping paid for by the customer.

Refund timeline Once we receive the returned unit (or evidence that you've sent it back), we will process your refund within 14 days, using the same payment method you used for the original purchase, unless you've agreed otherwise.

Exceptions The right of withdrawal does not apply if the goods have been used beyond what is necessary to establish their nature and function, or in cases of damage caused by the customer. 

2. Practitioners (Business Purchases)

If you purchased CET as a practitioner or business for use in your practice, your purchase is governed by the Practitioner Agreement you enter into as part of onboarding, not by the consumer withdrawal rights above. [Legal to confirm: the EU consumer right of withdrawal generally does not extend to B2B purchases, but this depends on how the practitioner is legally constituted — e.g., a sole proprietor may be treated differently in some jurisdictions than a registered company. This needs explicit confirmation before the policy goes live.]

Any return, exchange, or refund terms for practitioner purchases - including timelines, conditions, and restocking considerations - should be set out clearly in the Practitioner Agreement itself, and referenced here rather than duplicated, so there's a single source of truth.

3. Faulty or Damaged Units (Both Groups)

Regardless of purchase type, if your CET unit arrives damaged or develops a fault covered by warranty, contact us at [email] with your order number and a description of the issue. This is separate from the right of withdrawal above and is not subject to the same time limits - [legal to confirm applicable statutory warranty period under Dutch/EU law, typically a minimum 2-year conformity guarantee for consumer goods].

4. How to Request a Return

  1. Email [email] with your order number and reason for return (or withdrawal, for home-use customers within the 14-day window)
  2. We'll confirm receipt and provide return instructions
  3. Package all components securely, ideally in original packaging
  4. Once received and inspected, we'll process your refund or replacement
